Analysis

Overview

Serila is a Halloween-themed Fire Mage with strong single-target damage. Against PvE bosses such as Golem 11, she can also contribute to team survivability by applying Attack debuffs and decreasing the enemy’s Combat Readiness. While her main weakness is having low HP, she somewhat makes up for it with high Defense and the ability to lifesteal.

Strengths

High Attack and Burn damage

Serila has high base Attack, which complements her ability to stack burns on the enemy. Each Burn debuff deals damage equal to 60% of Serila’s attack every turn (ignoring 70% of the target’s Defense) and lasts for two turns. After being Enhanced, Flame Kiss has a 93.75% chance of inflicting at least one Burn debuff and a 56.25% chance of inflicting two.

Offense and defense in one skill

Spirit Absorb has a ton of useful effects packed into a single Skill. It deals high burst damage, especially with Soul Burn, while giving Serila an Attack buff, recovering her health, and reducing her target’s Attack. Using Serila as a main damage-dealer opens up more options for team compositions because, unlike most DPS heroes, she doesn’t require a dedicated support hero to provide Attack buffs.

Killing resets nuke cooldown

Spirit Absorb, when Enhanced to +3, already has a relatively low cooldown of 3 turns. But whenever Serila finishes off an enemy with the Skill, the cooldown is reset and Spirit Absorb can be used again on her next turn. Serilla can take advantage of this in Arena and Guild Wars to nuke down multiple enemy teams in quick succession.

Effectiveness Memory Imprint

Serilla’s SSS memory imprint grants allies an extra 12.6% Effectiveness, improving the chance of landing debuffs. Serilla herself can also indirectly benefit from this when equipped with a Rage set or Kal’adra.

Weaknesses

Low HP and Speed

Like most Mages, Serila’s base HP and Speed stats are very low, making her vulnerable to being targeted and killed by fast enemies with burst damage. Despite her high Defense and ability to lifesteal, she still needs to be protected by healers or defensive supports in most team compositions.

Good, but not the best

While Serila can do many things, she doesn't stand out as as a specialist in any particular role. Especially as a damage dealer, Serila is outclassed by other strong DPS heroes with higher damage multipliers, especially with the addition of Cermia, another Fire element hero with an incredible single-target nuke and self-attack buffs.

Limited-time Event Hero

Serila was released in the Global server in early 2019 as an event hero for a limited-time challenge stage, similar to other event heroes like Kikirat v2 and Zeno. She cannot be obtained through normal covenant summons, and it is unclear whether or not Serila will be re-released in the future.

Builds

Rage Witch

This build utilizes Serila’s 12.6% Effectiveness Memory Imprint by equipping her with a Rage Set and the Kal’adra Artifact and pairing her with a dependable defense breaker. This maximizes the nuke potential of Spirit Absorb in particular, so that she can K.O. her target and refresh her cooldown. For survivability, Defense is a slightly higher priority than HP because Serila has very high base Defense and very low base Health.

Team

Core

This is a team composition with Serila for auto-battling Golem 11. Iseria dispels and Defense breaks the Golem, Haste applies Unhealable, Destina heals and cleanses, and Serila deals the bulk of the damage while reducing the Golem's Attack and pushing back its Combat Readiness.
