Tier Lists came into being as a means of rating the relative strength of characters in fighting games. Years later, outside of that genre, the same principles can be applied to mobile RPGs. The Epic Seven PvP Tier List counts the favorable matchups for each character and ranks them based on victories. This also works with teams so that Heroes who fit into the greatest number of four-man team compositions are valued highly.
Team composition is a huge factor in the success of any offense team.
As is the case with most areas of Epic Seven, the majority of stats come from gear. For the purposes of scoring Heroes, we assume each Hero has their most important stats built to the point of being effective.
The Protector’s Punishment mechanic discourages turtling or any other defensive endurance strategies.
CR Push is paramount to controlling actions and getting the first move.
The Budget marker marks Heroes with relatively high availability: Connections, story, and 3★ Summons in the Covenant pool.
Expected Changes to Resurrection Strategies
See the Tier List Changelog for details on recent promotions and demotions.
Tier 0: Bonkers Heroes in this Tier exert control over the meta just by existing, forcing opponents to counter them. On Offense, they’ll win numerous matchups and are very versatile when integrating into teams.
Auxiliary Lots is an incredibly powerful Combat Readiness increasing tool. With the ability to increase a Heroes Combat Readiness by 100% he has consistently performed as a staple Hero in many offensive compositions. This, paired with the additional initial Souls that Tagehel's Ancient Book can provide when equipped on him his ability to increase the potency of a primary DPS Hero make him a top tier utility Mage.
Crimson Armin has proceeded to be a highly valued tool in high end PvP. Her easy access to damage mitigating effects and Immunity have continued to be highly valued especially when they can easily abuse some of the pitfalls of the Epic Seven PvP interface.
While Dark Corvus has an edge due to the novelty of his kit, even adequately prepared foes are going to have a hard time taking out this lifesteal tank.
Dizzy has the means to cripple the opponent's offense with a triple debuff (reduced Attack, Speed and Hit Chance) and manipulate turn cycling all in one. Tagahel's Ancient Book even enables her to act twice at the beginning of a match, leaving opponents with three three-turn debuffs and 50% less Combat Readiness.
Resurrection Queen Ruele is currently the only Soul Weaver with Revive and Invincibility in her kit. With the ability to bring back any Hero from the dead, she's indispensable for longevity and vicious comebacks.
Tier 1: Incredibly Strong Tier 1 includes Heroes who are easily among the best when controlled by the player. With the right gear and team synergy, they’ll win against most Defense teams.
Countering the debuff-heavy meta, Destina's Grace (S3) offers a complete teamwide reset with Health recovery, full cleanse and boosted Combat Readiness. While slow, she can be tuned with the rest of the team to act last or following common threats such as Dizzy.
Iseria ranks highly thanks to her synergy with any Hero with long cooldowns, including the incredibly powerful Tamarinne and Dark Corvus.
Judith is a standout among the 3★ rarity with her high natural Speed and Mark of Acceleration (S3), which pulls the whole team ahead with Combat Readiness. She's indispensable in the game's Speed meta, and even has a decent Stun chance on Weakness Attack (S1) making for some fun plays when luck turns in the player's favor.
Paired with Iseria, Tamarinne has access to an immediate teamwide CR boost and 2-turn Attack buff. 30% Combat Readiness is extremely competitive for the role, and max enhancement pushes it to a massive 50% Combat Readiness with Song of the Forest (S2). Her only drawback is low Speed relative to other CR push Heroes, and of course the long cooldown on Shining Star☆ (S3)
Tier 2: Excellent Tier 2 Heroes don’t have the same influence as higher-Tier Heroes, but are otherwise complementary and popular picks.
Tier 3: Good Tier 3 Heroes are usually included to fill a niche role and succeed in the event of a type advantage.
Baal & Sezan are okay as an opening Defense Break Hero, however there are much better Heroes at doing this. Their lack of a 100% Defense Break makes landing the Debuff you want on an enemy Hero very difficult. Dark Cloud (S2) is also fairly reliant on getting a kill while having stacked Debuffs, doing this is no easy feat in a PvP.
